WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE "GET STARTED" SESSION?Upon scheduling your "get started" session, you will be sent a guide as to what to expect during our time together and what steps you can take beforehand. If other family members have input, we prefer they be present during this time or have been conferred with prior. Ideally, it's helpful to see your entire collection gathered in one location, as this streamlines our 2-3 hours together. Any types of media you'd like us to include would be, but is not limited to: loose photos, photo albums, framed photos, slides, negatives, home movies, memorabilia, everything significant to your final collection. There is a $150 fee charged at this session as we will be revisiting your goals, answering questions, discussing options and a plan. We'll create your family tree to include family names, dates of birth and any information you deem pertinent to capture your family's story. We will be prepared to take possession of part or all of your collection and, once in our studio, we will take a detailed inventory, email a proposal to be signed and set up payment options. At Unboxed Photos, we take personal information and your photo collections' privacy seriously; we will not share your information in any form. We look forward to chatting with you to learn of your unique needs. Schedule your complimentary call HERE.

WHY SHOULD I ORGANIZE MY PHOTOS?Organizing anything in life can be taxing and off-putting. If boxes of old photos and older media formats are packed away and don't weigh on you. . . no worries! If you've decided to pass them along, as is, to the next generation. . . no worries! However, we at Unboxed Photos do worry about your one-of-a-kind photos. Over time, photos degrade and human memories fade, risking your photo stories' complete loss. At the least, organized or not, we recommend your photos be digitized for preservation and stored in archival storage solutions (boxes, albums, sleeves). We'd love to hear from you to answer any questions or to chat about your needs. We welcome you to schedule a complimentary phone call HERE.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?Your investment depends solely on the size, the uniqueness of your collection and your overall objective. Our clients aren't looking for the least expensive option but, rather, someone who is personally invested in listening to their needs and in delivering a professional, quality product. At your 2-3 hour discovery session, we'll gain a better perspective of the complexity of your project, the varying types of media you need digitized, the condition of the photos, the level of organization you desire and so much more. We'll follow up with a project proposal, so that you may make an informed decision. At Unboxed Photos, we work with clients who prefer to work in phases and those who go all in. We offer a variety of payment options, with no pressure. We want our clients to be at ease, no matter their decision. We welcome your inquiries during a complimentary phone call HERE.

WHAT IS "WHITE GLOVE" SERVICE?White glove service is a premium level of service that involves exceptional care, attention to detail and going above and beyond client expectations. Photos are one of our most precious and valuable personal assets with many being extremely fragile. While in our possession, your photos are treated with the utmost care. Much of our white glove service occurs behind the scenes: - We always handle your photos and memorabilia with cotton gloves, nitrile gloves and/or finger cots to prohibit the transfer of the natural oils of human hands. - We use professional cleaners to remove gunk, as needed. - We use anti-static brushes or air-bulbs to remove dust from every item. Providing an outstanding client experience is always top of mind at Unboxed Photos, focusing on attention to detail with every personalized project and exceeding customer expectations from the moment you contact us to post-delivery. We'd love to hear from you to answer any questions or to chat about your needs. We welcome you to schedule a complimentary phone call HERE.

WHAT ARE "ARCHIVAL" BOXES?Archival boxes are specifically designed to protect valuable and sensitive items from damage caused by acid, light, dust, moisture and other environmental factors. They are typically made from acid-free and lignon-free cardboard that won't react with or damage the contents. Acid can cause material to yellow, become brittle and degrade over time.

HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE PHOTOS WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE PEOPLE?Our clients call us magicians! We, at Unboxed Photos, think of ourselves as family detectives. You assist us, during our discovery assessment, by providing your family tree information. Identifying sticky notes are attached to group photos, baby photos, school photos, Aunt Bonnie's photo and so on. The backs of photos often leave clues as to date, subject or a story, and facial recognition software is used during the digital organization phase. But rest assured, we won't hesitate to call on you should we get stuck! We love what we do and we love being detectives! Schedule a complimentary phone call HERE, we'll share our tricks of the trade!
